happy mothers day weekend!!! im beside myself with love right now. im the luckiest mama that ever lived. not even joking. why did i get so lucky?? why me?? who knows,,, but who am i to question the system. thank you, Lord for my life and my kids. does it get any better then this?? doubt it,,, hey moms,,, cheers to you,, isnt being a mama so freaking rad!?!?! i love it,,, like, a lot, a lot. today at school was the kids mothers day celebration,,, i got a song sang to me {you are my sunshine ~ complete with props and hand gestures},,, sofia might had let the cat outta the bag last night,,, {thankfully,, because i cried last night,, today, i knew it was coming,, so i was well prepared} still, precious, none the less,, i also got a necklace made by daniel. oh how i have waited for a necklace made by my children. long awaited,,, but so appreciated,,, im wearing it right now, as i type,,, and i got an adorable picture that miss thang drew of us two. itll go on the wall, right next to the dudes from last year. i love this stuff,, like, a lot, a lot,,,

*listening: the birds outside my window. kids are with *dude and papa*, rica is at work. the house is quiet. and im good with that.

the hangover. seriously, i cant remember the last time i actually *laughed out loud*, *rolled on the floor laughing* and *laughed my ass off* {i still cant get into the lols, lmaos, and rofls,, it irks me a lot, a lot},,,nthis movie is rad. cant wait for the next one,,,

alice in wonderland. im partial to this version because i was alice in wonderland for halloween quite a few times growing up,, and, if i do say so myself, with my {at the time} stick straight blonde, blonde hair, perfect alice dress, i sorta rocked it. and watching this movie again as a grown up,, its like a free fade,, such a trip,, so fun!!!

alice in wonderland. i totally love the new version,, johnny depp?? yes please,,, tim burton?? heck yes!!! the graphics, colors and special effects that we could only pull off with the hollywood technology we have now~a~days,, theyre amazing!!! love!!!

ferris buellers day off. from the animal print vest, to the mo~hawk in the shower,,, ditching school {i was maybe sorta known for having senioritous as a freshman},,, the drop top ferrari,,, such an amazing classic.

coraline jones. here i am with my dark animation movies. love em. its pretty rad too, because my kids LOVE all of tim burtons stuff,,, so we watch these together,, when rica is gone,, he and i have wayyyyyy different tastes in movies. the only one on this list hed agree with is the hangover. but who doesnt love that movie?!?!?

so, you might have noticed,,, i might, sorta, maybe have eleven on my list. as i was almost ready to post, then another classic popped into my head,, and i couldnt eliminate any from the list i already had, so i cheated. were all good with that, right?? and you might be able to tell,,, if its not a animation, or really funny,, im so not interested. i cant stand scary movies!! action is so blah to me,,, western?? nah dawg,, im out. suspense?? i lose interest because i cant follow the plot and usually the person stuck sitting next to me hates me by the end of the movie because i forget faces & names like really, really easy,, and then i forget who is who and what the heck is going on. i like movies that are easy to watch. no brainers,,,

it was my turn to post again over at scrap yourself. i love it. so fun. i finally parted ways, or, better yet, put to use this paper that i have hoarded for close to two years. isnt it amazing paper?? i love it oh so much!!! i love the fun colors and the dimensional butterflies ~ screams spring to me ~ especially since its ninety degrees here today!!!! rad ~ spring has shown its adorable face!!! although, i love the comfy cozy weather, i doubt this heat is here to stay, im sure we will get another rain storm {or two, or three} fingers crossed,, but for now?? spring is the name of the game,, and here is my latest for *scrap yourself* i titled it *dream*,,, i hope you likey,,, i have the scrapbook bug,,, i,m off to take sofia for horse back riding lessons,, and i have about two hours before their t-ball game starts in between,,, im gonna start a page,,, the process usually takes me a bit anyway because i love to think it through,, im sure ill be jotting down ideas while on the field today/tonight with my adorable, precious little ironbirds. take care!!!

and my husband, of course we cant forget him for my instax project,,, here is *him*,, i kinda, sorta, might have made this a few cocktails deep,,, and maybe, kinda, sorta thought the following morning that i wasnt extra stoked about the flower action,, dunno,,, just not. but whatever,, i use gnarly glue that doesnt budge once its dried,, so, alas, here is it,, my ginormous flowered, action, too many JD&DDPs deep, woke up in the morning scratching my head, wondering what i was thinking layout, with an oh so clever title {you know how i do},,, here is *him*

i have to admit, this night was actually so rad. and yeah, judge if you must,,, i was home. alone. my husband was golfing then out to dinner and drinks with *the boys* and my mother in law had the kids for a sleep over. it was just my, my adhesive, and my ability to absolutely lose control laughing at my own jokes while im a few drinks deep. alone. hey, sometimes, you just gotta laugh at yourself, ive always said, *i am my own favorite audience* {thank you dance hall crashers}. so there you go, oh, and did i mention that i didnt go to sleep till 4:00am!?!?! yeah, by then ricardo came home, we high fived and i kept to my scrapping,,, its was fun. not as fun as a night with you know who,,, but still fun.

my brother in law is getting married this july in the dominican republic, {so excited to go back there!!!} and when we return, he and his bride will be having a wedding reception here in cali. on the coast. so, of course i need to dresses for this very, very special occasion, right?? naturally, i turn to my beloved dress designer betsey johnson. these are what we, i mean i, came up with,,,

for starters,,, i dare you, double dog dare you to find a dress cuter then this baby, and more my style. i swear this dress has ally*cakes on the label. i so, so, SO need this dress. right?? holy smokes, i cant barely breath right now!!!

holy cuteness,,, love this baby. now i think i might know what youre thinking, this dress is too light for a wedding. like im wearing white to the wedding. they {bride and groom} actually have asked us to wear white. so of all ive listed, this one is actually the closet to their request, although none of them really meet there requests one hundred percent. but even the next dress below, i wanted that one first so i asked my future sister in law if it was okay and she love she LOVED it!!! so, pretty much, they want us light colored, i think my mother in law would prefer the all white thing {???}

i had the major pleasure of watching gnomeo and juliet over this past weekend. wow. love.that.movie. so, so stinkin cuteeeeeee!!! i want a million garden gnomes and two lawn flamingos. my favorite part was that when we walked into the theatre some of our favorite friends were sitting right smack dab in the middle,,, so we got to crash their family outting and go to dinner all together afterwards. perfect. so right after the movie, i had to take a picture of the sign for the movie, i sooo have a major crush on that movie,, cant wait for the gnome phenomenon to take off,, ive only been waiting for years!!! tap~tap~tap my inner elbow,,, so anyway, since im in love with the movie, it totally makes a spot into my project 52{ish}. how could it not??

i love what the danity squid has come up with for a 52 week project,, 52 weeks of instax. so rad. i started yesterday, so im gonna call mine fifty*something weeks of instax. i know myself well enough to know that some days {weeks} ill be way more inspired then others,, knowing that some weeks i might take two or three pictures, others, maybe none. thats just me. im going to photograph my crushes. today, i started with jack, my adorable black pug we got a few months ago. hes rad, and yes, i have a crush on him. i love my puppies. i would also love to attempt to scrap all these instax photos and put them in their own album,, im think 6X12 would be cute!!! oh yeah, and i have a crush on YOU,,, i wish i could mail each and every one of you my instax and scrapbook 6X12 layouts with your cute mug on it,,, wouldnt that be rad?? i love reaching out to you all, hence the massive atc swaps i did,, just to get a little bit closer to you. i think its fun,,, and i think youre neat. love you {i really do}

hi there. its 2011 and ive been absent for a bit. sorry. lets start all over, thats what you do in the new year, right?? hi. im ally,, or allyson,, or allyson joy. whatever youd like. i am a mama of two adorable kids {daniel & sofia} and they make me oh so happy. i have a handsome husband that is addicted to golf, like i am to my adhesive and pattern paper. i dont have free time, so in my *im being selfish me time* {which i think is great for all moms and wives to do}, i scrapbook. prior to soccer {both kids play}, dance {for sofia}, gymnastics {for sofia}, horse back riding lessons {also for the same princess}, and t-ball {both kids} i had time for myself more often, in 2009 i got very, very close to accomplishing my goal of scrapbooking 365 layouts in one year. i got close. last year i only scrapbooked 63,,, hence, my children and their sports. but they have my heart first,,, they are the reason i started scrapping in the first place, five years ago. i have a best friend. two of them actually and i often wonder why i couldnt have met them sooner. especially my partner in crime nely.

at the risk of sounding like a hallmark card, i love her oh so much. she is perfect to me and i really do wish i had met her sooner. we enjoy all the same things like going to concerts, riding bikes, scrapbooking, drinking, going to padre games, laughing, screaming, dancing, going to vegas and being totally random together. nely, love you long time. about two and a half years ago, nely and i created a pink ninja nation. we started with the inspiration blog, *the pink ninjas* which led to our newest addiction, the *pink ninja addicts* our adorable monthly kit club that totally rocks. seriously, its killer. and i have to admit, our line up of guest designers is insane. only the best. honest. we are oh.so.proud of our pink ninja nation. sadly, we recently let the pink ninjas {inspiration blog} go. we are just too, too busy. it was time. we were ready to move on. our newest addiction, *glitter in the air* was released january first and its amazing {if i do say so myself}

hi. its been a bit huh?? do you want the long version, or the short version?? life. thats it. period. ive been laying super low as of late. online at least. i havent even seen my pretty best friend in, like, forever!!!! my kids keep me so busy lately. i havent updated my mother of the year blog since august or something,,,!!!! {but thats because im busy being a ahem, *mother of the year*,,, soccer season just ended,,, had to plan two team parties, {im team mom for both of my kiddos teams}

i never shared halloween pictures, such a shame because i had an adorable family of outfits {hank included},,,

we got a new puppy. yes, another one. its the kids' early christmas present. im in love. hes sorta perfect. this is jack.

i went to the desert. it came at a good time. ive really needed to take a lot of time for myself. my family. my mind and my heart. life does that sometimes. i had a long break and sorta re-grouped my thoughts and feelings. i havent done a lot of scrapping as of late,,, maybe thats the problem with my mind,,, i know it likes being creative. ive done a crap-load of puzzles though. yeah, puzzles. great fun. {seriously} i also got super hooked on glee. borrowed the first season from my mom and pretty much watched the entire season in two days!! yeah, im a gleek. great.

im losing followers,,, {oh no,,, come back}!!! {sad, sad, sad face} man,, what a bummer. well, that sucks, so right now i need to share with you something fun and happy. like getting married. i have always dreamt about getting married in vegas. yep. true story. my first wedding {meaning my only wedding} was a biggie, like five hundred people or something like that. crazy. but it was perfection, a nice catholic ceremony and a great big reception. that why it only fits to have my next wedding in vegas. yes, im still married to my husband, but a girl can dream about her fun, crazy, classy and sorta naughty vegas ceremony, right?? maybe for our ten year. well see, for one thing, elvis as the priest is a must!!!

if we had a wedding cake,,,, these would belong on the very top.

because i know i come across as a lover of all things bright, fun and cheerful, it might come as a shock to you that i love dark and almost {i said *almost*} goth inspired photos. i dont dress that way, although, you are more then likely to find me in head to toe black, im not making a statement, im sticking with the *black is slimming* effect, still, i love these looks. its fun. different then what im used to. and i like that. its explains why i love tim burton oh so much. hes dark but his imagination is so child like. his colors are dark, and bright at the same time. his brain must be so much fun to live in. dont you agree?? love him. love his work. but this isnt about tim burton, just a post, for halloween month {because being dark isnt as unusual this month, although i sometimes just feel dark, do you ever??} ~ getting back on track, again.

ive been working on her bedroom for some time now. not, like, spending every minute in there. mainly waiting for the perfect pieces to fall in to place. ive been searching thrift stores for the final bits. perfect thrifted pieces are harder to find then brand new perfect pieces. right now, im looking for the perfect recycled nightstands as well as an adorable table and at least one more chair to make a tiny tea party area in her room. and her quilt that im making,,, still working on that as well. but for now, i wanna share my little girl babys bed room. last year my mother in law asked what the kids wanted for christmas, perfect, they want beds. they need toys like a hole in the head, so beds were perfect. i wanted to get her a bed that would last her for all of her elementary,middle and high school years, {even in to collage ~ yikes!!!}, so this is what i fell in love with. and the dresser as well. the vanity was my adorable mother in laws request, she seriously begged me if she could buy it for sofia, uh, yeah. of course you can. {i guess} *wink*. so, here it is,,,

i played!!!! i used the newest addiction from pink ninja addicts to create this fun layout from a wedding we went to over summer,,,, i used *she wolf* and the add on kit, *venice queen*,,, here is *masnica after party*,,, im happy with it,,, but it was so easy because the october kit is wicked!!! love it!!!!

i spent the first day of fall with this adorable face,,,

we went to bates nut farm and ate a pic-nic lunch,,, read a few books, fed the goats & sheep together, shopped and read a few more books. it.was.perfect. i love having dates with her. and i love, love, love fall,,, the weather has been perfect *welcome to fall* weather. im in heaven, big time.

itll warm up in the next few days,,, perfect to spend some time at the beach before we bid adue to summer,,, and im so, so excited for halloween coming up,,, i love halloween goodies oh so much!!!
