today, im actually asking you for help. yeah. so, if you followed my blog long enough, youll know i have a baby brother in the navy. currently stationed in south korea. were doubting that well get to see him till spring 2010. im sad. and i got very inspired by a fellow ninja when she sent out an email explaining that she has a friend stationed in iraq, and shes starting a chritsmas card for the troops sort of thing. hitting close to home, of course i signed up. after doing so, i felt very inspired to copy her. so, thats what im doing. i need your help. i will be collection christmas cards from you. a minimum of ten from each, a maximum is not needed, as we all know the number of men and women in uniform serving our country that will be spending time away from loved ones this up-coming holiday season cant be counted,,, so please, lemme know if youd like to take part. i will be collecting {as i said} a minimum of ten christmas cards from you, and i need them at my door step by the end of the month. that way, i can send them to him and his buds over in south korea in time for them to be shipped back home to their loved ones in time for christmas. please, email me at xoxoallyserrato at aol dot com ~ if youd like to join in. we need you. and here are a few pictures from last year when i went to chicago with my fam to visit him during his boot camp graduation. hes so young. such a baby at only 19 years old,,,

candy shoppe designs continues to inspire me like crazy!!! i love the challenge they have over there for october ~ national breast cancer awareness month,,, save the tatas. and, yeah, i know this is an 8 1/2 X 11 layout, that i managed to take fourteen hundred photos of, but hey, at least were not at the airport where we have per poundage of luggage, {which i seem to always manage to be the chick sorting throughout my luggage, passing off shoes in the baggage check in section, pawning off this and that to even out my luggage weight ~ AND have to pay a little something, something extra},,, whatevs, go big or go home baby!!! here is my one too many photos in my photos shoot *believing*,,, go play!!!

just a little ol design team project for pink pineapple scrapbooks,,, i tried sooooo hard to leave these papers in their fall colors that they were supposed to lay,,, but i couldnt. i dont have it in me. i had to glimmer mist the wood grain pink and add pink ribbons and pink thread with my sewing machine. yeah, i had to. the little dinosaurs were totally inspired by a kit of the week my sweet friend carrie created. theyre so cute, i had to allow her inspiration to take form in my own little layout *1982* and yes, i know, i use a lot of the same pictures. this is the deal, im crazy into scrapping wallets these days. im a really big fan, but heres the problem, they come in sheets of four. and i hate waste, and i love this picture {no matter how many times youve seen it} and thats that. its kinda a cool challenge. do it, scrap the same picture with two, three or four different layouts. lemme know how you likey. :-)

im so stoked to be the guest designer over at candy shoppe designs, a freaking rocking challenge blog bursting with wicked inspiration. you gotta check them out and play along, rad, rad prompts along with perfect prizes. although this wasnt my assignment for the month of october, when the prompt went up wednesday night, i almost couldnt sleep thinking about how i wanted to rock the fashionably geek challenge, so her is my take,,, and stay close by for my prompts for the guest designer spot!!! i hadnt had a photo to use in mind, by i gotta admit, doesnt miss elsie remind you of red plaid, and apples, fall,,,, all those things,,, anyway, i had gotten this polaroid from her when i made a purchase from the red velvet store, so i was like, ahhh, what the heck,,, i know what you are all thinking,,, ive gone too far,,, just leave it be, it was a fun layout to create. so here is *elsie*
