on wednesday i did a little tutorial over at 52 sketches 52 weeks. in case you missed it ~ ill go ahead and post it right here as well,,,, it went a little something like this,,,,,
flocked paper is super hot these days ~ as it should be,,, playing with it is soooo much fun right?? the possibilities are endless. i wanted to share with you a little technique where you take plain jane white flocked paper and add some texture and dimension to it.
*first step is to pick up some flocked paper ~ you can totally go colored as well, but i stuck with white ~ that way i can make it be whatever i want it to be.*pick a glimmer mist ~ i went with lily green*choose an ink {i always got for staz on} and ill be using the jet black
*now to get started,,, i simply spray the flocked paper with the glimmer mist. glimmer mist is so much fun and you can use a lot of a little. im kinda a go big or go home kinda girl ~ so i was generous with my application.
*use a heat gun over the glimmer mist. not only does it help it to dry faster, but it actually brings the *glimmers* to the surface.
*once dried, apply in any amount you choose. i went with the corners and most of the flocked circles. applying in circular motions.
*and there you have it. i have a finished layout where i used the same technique and it just add so much extra personality to the layout.
have fun ~ i hope you give this technique a try!!!
