today, im actually asking you for help. yeah. so, if you followed my blog long enough, youll know i have a baby brother in the navy. currently stationed in south korea. were doubting that well get to see him till spring 2010. im sad. and i got very inspired by a fellow ninja when she sent out an email explaining that she has a friend stationed in iraq, and shes starting a chritsmas card for the troops sort of thing. hitting close to home, of course i signed up. after doing so, i felt very inspired to copy her. so, thats what im doing. i need your help. i will be collection christmas cards from you. a minimum of ten from each, a maximum is not needed, as we all know the number of men and women in uniform serving our country that will be spending time away from loved ones this up-coming holiday season cant be counted,,, so please, lemme know if youd like to take part. i will be collecting {as i said} a minimum of ten christmas cards from you, and i need them at my door step by the end of the month. that way, i can send them to him and his buds over in south korea in time for them to be shipped back home to their loved ones in time for christmas. please, email me at xoxoallyserrato at aol dot com ~ if youd like to join in. we need you. and here are a few pictures from last year when i went to chicago with my fam to visit him during his boot camp graduation. hes so young. such a baby at only 19 years old,,,

my card making has been very few and far between, although i love doing it. i made these and delivered them on friday. they are *will you be my bridesmaid* invites. cute. at least i think so. :-)

hi. ive got a few things up my sleeve today. i feel like i usually post on one thing and one thing only, but two biggies that cant be spread out gotta be put up today. first things first,,,

the glitter atc swap that danielle got together filled up really, really fast. ive gotten a few emails from girlys that wanted in on the swap and i had to say that the spots have been filled. i hate doing that. im such a yes man its not even funny. so,,, i chatted with danielle and we agreed that itd be fun to have a second group for the glitter atc swap. group *b*. what this means is this,,, if youre in the first glitter swap and you wanna be a part of group *b* also, you totally can. this is a different group, meaning if you are a part of the first glitter swap, and wanna be a part of the second as well, you will be making 24 glitter atcs, but the first 12 cant be the same as the second 12. make sense?? the same guidelines apply. they are due to me via pink pineapple or my mail box by 10 september. please email me if you want to be a part of the glitter atc swap group *b*. xoxoallyserrato@aol.com im like, crazy addicted to these little babies and have soooo many new atc swap ideas that will unfold as time goes on. i dont wanna over do it, ya know??

second. i have a card class this sunday. yeah, i know it kinda crept up on me too. of course its at pink pineapple, {of course, of course}. here is a picture of one of the five cards that we will be creating. hope to see you there!!!okay, so those were the two biggies i had to chat with you about. im still waiting on three transparency atcs from the first swap, i cant wait to share!!! oh ~ and today, i have big hopes and dreams. im gonna stay home all day. yep. and mark my words, im gonna bust out four ~ yeah, count em one, two, three, four layouts and finish my vintage atcs. its gonna be a busy little factory in my house today. the good part is my hubby will be very close by, working on the house so the kids will be outside all day with him,,, shhhh,,,, dont tell him my plans, im gonna work it somehow like "hey babe, daniel wants to try out his new soccer shoes {again}",,, and go from there,,, cant wait!! dont share my plan,,, ;-) i hope i dont let myself down,,,

alright, so i know i have made this pretty clear in the past, but i havent said it lately. i am so, so, so happy and honored to be a part of the pink pineapple *anything*. i teach there and i feel so blessed to contribute even that little bit to the store. they are an amazing team of ladies with nothing but positive vibes the moment you walk through that adorable door. im gushing. have you ever had that crazy dream, correction, nightmare where it is eight days before christmas and you still had to create two-hundred-and-fifty christmas cards?!?!?! its a scary one. i lived it. yesterday. some how, i pulled it off. of course i didnt do everything yesterday. a lot of the pieces were ready, but just not assembled. i put together two hundred and fifty cards yesterday. nuts. i feel so much better today, {mentally. physically, well im noticing that this post is actually hurting my hand, the right one specifically. it hurts a lot}. anyway. whatever. IM DONE!! heck yes!!

oh, annnnd im kinda keeping a little side blog action. well, its not a bloggie blog, but its flickr. i love it. ive been updating other goodies there, go check it out. great, like i need another reason to be on the computer. would you believe me if i told you that three years ago {yes, three} i didnt even have an email address?!?!?! true story, not-a-one email address!! now i have one, two, three, four,,, no, i think five email addresses. why?? because im lame and i try to keep projects separate. like i need that many, but hey, they are free so it works, right?? dont be mad at me, ive never come across the problem where my user name was taken. nobody else in the world shares my name, so its okay.

my world is chaos right now. as i type {and i totally have no right to even be near this darn computer, but still, here i am}. i have one million projects in the works right now. more ideas for my etsy shop. i thought it would be cool to open a flickr account. turns out i opened one waaaay back i january, but never played around with it. i will use it mainly for crafty projects. {thanks for the idea gloria!!!}. this is what my counters look like right now. messy!!!

i just completed a invitation order for a good friend of mine and it kinda all occurred to me ~ call me crazy, but christmas is right around the corner. if you are planning on using me (again) or for the first time to create your christmas greeting cards or holiday party invitations, lets get to chatting right away,,,, please email me at xoxoallyserrato@aol.com. i had quite a few card orders last year that kept me pretty busy (and i looooved every crazy minute of it), and that was before i was teaching, so i know that im going to need more time this year. i figured i would show you all some of the cards and invitations that i have worked on for last christmas and over the past few months,,,,, if you want to see more, you can go here or here or here or here . here is the order i just completed ~ for a bridal *fiesta* not shower,,,,,this was actually an order from last year ~ i think i made over a hundred and something, out of respect for the client, i placed our photo in the photo spot instead of blasting her children all over the web without her knowing,,, most of these cards and invitations are mounted on chipboard, making them more sturdy.
